SARASOTA, Fl., (April 23, 2009) – Signature Sotheby’s International Realty, the luxury real estate brokerage firm, is pleased to announce that sales associates Matt & Maureen Morris recently closed a significant sale, totaling $2,350,000 at 850 Mangrove Point Road, Siesta Key.
According to the Sarasota MLS, this residence is the highest sales price on Siesta Key since the first of the year. Located in the exclusive Coconut Bayou and situated on Roberts Bay, this “living sculpture” was remodeled by architect Carl Abbott to showcase large expanses of glass and open living spaces.
Ralph and William Zimmerman were the original architects who built the home in 1954. Two remodels later, many of the then-avant-garde ideas were covered up and architect Abbott stripped it back to more of its original structure. The home has since been designated as a Sarasota School of Architecture property.
